<p>Come join Leadership Donelson-Hermitage as we hold our annual Health Hope &amp; Heroes Fair.  The LDH Class of 2012 is hosting this FREE Health, Safety, Recycling and Community Information event and we would love for you to be a part of it. We are looking forward to offering the following:</p>
<p>• Free Health Screenings<br />
• Prizes, Giveaways, and Youth Activities<br />
• General Household Recycling of:  (paper, plastics, light bulbs, small electronics, video cassettes, floppy discs, DVDs, CDs, household batteries, cell phones and accessories)<br />
• Unlimited and Confidential Paper Shredding<br />
• Thermometer Swap  (trade old mercury thermometers for a free digital one)<br />
• Safe disposal of expired and unused medications<br />
• Crime Prevention Information<br />

<p>While we already have several vendors committed to participate, your organizations involvement would make this event even better.  We are asking local health, safety and recycling organizations and community oriented non-profits to join us in educating our neighbors to increase their awareness of the assistance available to them.</p>
<p>If your organization would like to become part of our event, we ask that you download the Vendor Application above, or you may request an application by emailing our chair Misty Thurman at: <a href="mailto:massagebarnashville@gmail.com" target="_blank">massagebarnashville@gmail.com</a>.  <strong>The application deadline is 4/2/12.</strong></p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Wow – would you look at this website!  How grateful we are to have such a cool home in cyber space!  Thank you to Letha Edwards and BigMeanKitty.com for making this possible!   </p>
<p>Our committee worked very hard and we want to thank Ken Groneck, Class of 2010, Tinita Bowers, Class of 2008 and Bob Benson, Class of 2007 who were all major contributors to this great new site.  </p>
<p>The first thing you may notice is our updated logo.  Yes, change is good.   I love the clean fresh look of the new logo!</p>
<p>Take a tour of the site – you see that the Alumni Directory did not change – so if you are familiar with it, no changes.</p>
<p>We do have a new calendar and it will be kept up to date by Phyllis Williams, Class of 2000 and me.  If you have Leadership meetings or events to post please forward them to one of us.</p>
<p>The events will be on the What’s New (BLOG) page and will have links to pay for events right in the blog post invitation.  Your subscription as a Leadership member to the blog automatically signs you up for a notification when something new is posted.  You can then just click on the link and it will take you right to What&#8217;s New latest posting.  </p>
<p>The photo page is under construction – if you have photos to submit, please send them to me via e-mail for consideration by the committee.  We will have a good representation of all classes when this is finished.</p>
<p>We have more information than ever about who we are and what we do!  I am most excited about the application process.   Applicants will now be able to fill out an online form and click on submit and the form will come to my e-mail inbox &#8211; a very green process.</p>
<p>We are very proud of our organization and have changed our web presence to reflect that.  If you have Leadership website or e-mail addresses as .com, please change them to <strong>.org.</strong>  </p>
<p>As you look over the site – I encourage you to let me know if you see anything that needs attention.  We want this to be the most up to date and best leadership site out there.</p>
<p>See you all at the Retreat Cook-Out on September 27th!   </p>
